HM Treasury Want Umbrella Workers’ Views

In November, we reported on the government’s call for evidence on the umbrella sector which forms part of their commitment to bring umbrellas into scope for labour market enforcement.Β  From the outset they stated a wish for input from umbrella workers, and HM Treasury has now issued a survey specifically for workers to submit their views.

It’s a very short survey and the questions are straight forward to answer:

  1. Why do you work through an umbrella?
  2. What information was provided when you started working through an umbrella?
  3. Demographic information on your sector, the roles you have done, number of assignments undertaken etc
  4. Any feedback on your experience of working through an umbrella

At the end of the survey, you have an option to tick if you would like to take part in an online group discussion about umbrella companies.

We know that lots of people are fed up with meaningless government consultations but, here at IWORK we feel positive about this one, so strongly urge anyone with an opinion to respond to it.Β  Please don’t miss this opportunity to have your say!
